Set in the Great Lakes region, Tuncurry is a small rural township, perfect for a getaway from the rat race and city life. Tuncurry is the local Aboriginal name, meaning 'plenty of fish' - so you see what the biggest attraction is. The area provides a large portion of the state's seafoods - oysters from Wallis Lake, fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters. There are dozens of spots for you to fish from, both freshwater, saltwater and deep sea! The area also has two 18 hole golf courses, 3 bowling clubs and a great RSL club. Tuncurry Lakeside Village really is a complete holiday destination, with so many facilities that you'll find you may not wish to leave its 90-acre site! There's a games room and tennis court, mini golf, swimming and spa pools, library, six aluminium boats with outboards and a Marina Lake which is connected to the Wollomba River. All units accommodate up to six people, have self-contained kitchens with microwave, heating and ceiling fans. Please note there are no televisions in the room, but there are two TV lounges in the Recreation lodge. Guests are welcome to bring their own television, if they feel they need it - connections are provided. | ||||||
