Fifteen kilometres from Bundaberg, where the Great Barrier Reef begins its crawl up the East Coast, you'll find Don Pancho Beach Resort, with everything you need to have a truly amazing seaside holiday.

There are all the facilities you'd expect - like solar heated pool, spa and tennis court - but it's the little extras on offer that make all the difference. There's a cocktail bar for some poolside 'sundowners' not to mention bicycles, boogie boards and surf skis for hire. And being right on the beach, you only have a few metres to go to try them out!

The number of natural attractions in the area is incredible. You can see humpback whales on their annual pilgrimage (from mid August to mid October) or giant turtles trudging ashore to lay their eggs at the Turtle Rookery (late November to late January.) Perhaps you'd like to take a trip on a seaplane or fast catamaran out to the coral islands of Lady Musgrave or Lady Elliot, the start of the Barrier Reef or even pay a visit to the famous Bundaberg Rum distillery.
