The evergreen, sub-alpine surrounds of Kerami Gardens Resort are the perfect setting for a relaxing break while still leaving plenty of options for activity. The nearby Lake Mountain offers cross-country skiing in winter, while gourmands can sample the plentiful offerings of the lush Yarra Valley, Victoria's premier wine region.

Kerami is a relatively new resort, with fully self-contained units. There are also heated indoor pools, a sauna, spa and open fireplace. For those feeling active, you can play golf on a fantastic country course, or try your hand at trout fishing. There are also some amazing nature walks to be taken through the surrounding forests at any time of the year. A highlight would be Steavenson Falls, which are spectacularly floodlit at night.

The charming township of Marysville itself is full of quaint, old world craft shops, with plenty of interesting nooks and crannies to explore.
